Fiorano throws down the gauntlet at messaging middleware vendors
Pumps up version 9.3.0 of its turbo-charged FioranoMQ JMS Messaging Server

Highest speed and lowest latency release handily outperforms IBM and TIBCO

LOS GATOS, CA (March 14, 2011) – Fiorano Software (www.fiorano.com), a leading provider of enterprise class business process integration and messaging infrastructure technology, today released FioranoMQ 9.3, the newest version of its high performance enterprise communication backbone and the world's fastest standalone standards-based JMS-compliant messaging server.

The newly released FioranoMQ 9.3 JMS Server includes significantly enhanced .NET support for logging and client-side persistence, simplifying the development of .NET clients over the platform. Additional optimizations boost performance for both pub/sub and point-to-point applications in a secure environment.

Countering recent claims in the press by IBM's Dave Klavon (www.eweek.com/c/a/Enterprise-Applications/IBM-Flexes-Middleware-Muscle-183197/) about its middleware performance, Atul Saini, CEO Fiorano stated that Fiorano had long been the leader of the pack, with independently benchmarked performance far exceeding that of IBM WebsphereMQ and Sun (Oracle). Peak performances for the FioranoMQ JMS Server exceed 95,000 messages per second for publish/subscribe messaging in closed benchmark testing.

"IBM's performance claims don't tell the whole story", said Saini, "For messaging middleware used in critical applications in Financial Services, Telecommunications, Retail among other industries, Fiorano outperforms IBM by a factor of between five to twenty times for both persistent and non-persistent messaging. IBM's long-term lead in the middleware business has been based, for the most part, on keeping many customers including most large global banks locked into a proprietary API designed in the mid-90's. We invite customers to test middleware platforms independently to learn the truth", he added.

Independent benchmark results, together with reference to the test sources can be found at http://www.fiorano.com/whitepapers/fmq/jms_performance_comparison.php.

With all of this added performance, Fiorano continues to deliver the industry's lowest JMS latency numbers. FioranoMQ 9.3 performs with latencies between 5 and 20 milliseconds – an industry best amongst commercial JMS servers.

FioranoMQ is the world's first grid-enabled, peer-to-peer JMS messaging platform with unbounded scalability and unparalleled ease-of-management via JMX standards. The technology seamlessly integrates heterogeneous IT systems, improving operational efficiency, business agility and performance.
