Fiorano 'Out Of The Box' Integration Streamlines Core Banking at Large UAE Bank, Achieving 70% Productivity Gains
Temenos T24 integration using Fiorano Microservices significantly compresses time to market
"During the initial phase, the plan was to integrate the complex interfaces through Fiorano. Since that has been completed successfully, we have planned to migrate all the current and future interfaces to Fiorano"
(May 6, 2015; London, UK) Fiorano Software, a leader in enterprise integration and messaging middleware solutions, today announced that the Fiorano Platform has been deployed by a large UAE Bank to integrate its core banking system with disparate applications, enabling faster time to market and an order of magnitude reduction in the complexity of the core banking application.
"Before Fiorano, the bank had no middleware," explains the Senior Manager, IT systems, Information Systems & Technology. "All satellite applications were connected to the core banking application directly. As a result, lots of customizations were developed in the core banking system. This increased the load and complexity of the system."
Fiorano implemented an 'out of the box' integration solution for the Bank's Temenos T24 core banking system with Microservice-centric connectors, a powerful, new standard way of linking its core banking system with disparate applications, making Fiorano a fundamental part of the banking architecture. Temenos T24 integration with the Fiorano ESB incorporates proven enterprise architecture, service delivery, deployable business functionality and an integrated portfolio of Microservice-centric business services transforming the Bank's architecture into a horizontal, closely integrated core system to manage the real-time flow of data.
"Fiorano has streamlined the entire application architecture in the bank. It has simplified the time required for development of interfaces between the core banking application and satellite applications. Prior to Fiorano, a medium complexity interface (with 5 message types) would take about 3 weeks (15 man days) for development. Now with Fiorano, we complete the development activity in a week's time (5 man days). During the initial phase, the plan was to integrate the complex interfaces through Fiorano. Since that has been completed successfully, we have planned to migrate all the current and future interfaces to Fiorano," said the Senior Manager, IT systems, Information Systems & Technology of the Bank.
With Fiorano, 'Citizen Integrators' can visually assemble instantly running solutions by drawing application and service nodes on a canvas through drag-and-drop of active Fiorano Microservice components. The lines between nodes comprise event flows via active message pipelines, collectively representing user-defined event-driven architecture. The visual model is the ready-to-run, fully implemented application, with no additional programming required.
With successful completion of phase one, the Bank is looking at adding twenty more applications and scale its banking architecture to achieve greater agility.
