Fiorano announces GA of new Fiorano SOA Platform Version 9.4

Tuxedo and Fix adapters among key additions for financial services customers

LOS GATOS, CA (September 7, 2011) – Fiorano Software, (www.fiorano.com) a leading provider of enterprise class business process integration and messaging infrastructure technology, today announced general availability of version 9.4 of the Fiorano SOA Platform. This latest release includes significant enhancements, including Tuxedo, FIX and Socket Adapters together with significant additional functionality in several adapters and the ESB core.

FIX Adapter: The Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol is a message standard designed to facilitate the electronic exchange of securities-related information between all types of financial institutions. The Fiorano FIX Adapter supports real-time communication between buy-side firms like financial institutions and sell-side firms such as brokers/dealers to send or receive FIX messages for order placement and execution. The Fiorano FIX adapter includes support for all types of FIX messages, data persistence, transport independence and communication over JMS and WebServices.

Tuxedo Adapter: The Tuxedo Adapter simplifies the integration of Oracle (BEA) Tuxedo-based applications with any other system. It is used to perform message transformations in the Tuxedo environment, facilitating the translation of data between different formats. It also controls the flow of messages between multiple Tuxedo applications.

Socket Adapter: The Socket adapter facilitates secure communication between applications using sockets. It can be used to send data and receive data to and from a TCP/IP socket. SSL can be configured for secure communication.

“Enhanced support for transaction management, together with Tuxedo and FIX adapters significantly extends the functionality of Fiorano SOA 9.4 and improves performance across all deployments of the platform,” said Atul Saini, CEO and CTO of Fiorano Software.

Other key enhancements to adapters include:

  • HTTP Adapters with enhanced authentication support including NTLM
  • Support for a larger number of encryption algorithms including TripleDES, RC2, AES -128, AES -256
  • An updated Database Adapter with in-built support for the PostgreSQL database and Database table monitoring support for MySQL.
  • WSStub now supports sending and receiving attachments based on the WS Attachments specification
  • Enhancements to features and usability in WebServices (WSStub) and Worklist components.

Several features have been added to the ESB core, allowing greater control over policies for alerts on Low Memory and state-based workflow (SBW). SBW search performance has also been greatly optimized with alerts for HA Server states, among others.

The Eclipse Studio has several new features including eMapper enhancements and a new flat file schema editor. Also included is support for transforming any FIX message to XML message and vice-versa.
