Real-estate powerhouse Brigade Group marches on with Fiorano

Fiorano ESB, Enterprise Service Bus backbone infrastructure to enable multiple integrations including Salesforce.com, Microsoft SharePoint, IBM FileNet and SAP ERP

April 4 2012, Palo Alto, CA. – Fiorano Software (www.fiorano.com), a leader in enterprise integration and messaging middleware solutions, announced today that the Fiorano SOA platform, built on the Fiorano Enterprise Service Bus (Fiorano ESB) has been deployed by the Brigade Group, a prominent real-estate developer in Asia, to streamline sales by integrating its Salesforce.com (SFDC) cloud applications with its backend SAP systems.

To compete better in a fast-growing economy, the Brigade group recognized that it needed to automate information flow between its sales, accounting and management teams. In particular, real-time information sharing was required between Brigade's customer-relationship management (CRM) system, Salesforce.com, used by its field-sales representatives, and its SAP ERP system.

Brigade evaluated several solutions including Informatica Cloud Platform, Oracle ESB and SAP’s own Process Integrator (PI) before finally choosing Fiorano. "With just two weeks of work by a team of two engineers, we were able to synchronize our Salesforce.com front-end and SAP backend systems," said Mr. Srikanth VS, Senior General Manager - IT & Systems at the Brigade Group. "New opportunities created in Salesforce.com are now immediately reflected in SAP and updates to paid invoices in the back-end system are made available to field-sales in real-time. The solution has already benefitted our top-line within the first two months of deployment. We are now looking to implement many new internal business processes enterprise-wide using the Fiorano SOA Platform as the backbone infrastructure of our enterprise nervous system."

"Traditional stacks were not built with the distributed, ubiquitous enterprise in mind," Srikanth added. "In order to achieve the elasticity benefit of the cloud for a distributed application, it is essential for the application tier to be stateless. This is an important best practice for cloud implementations. Of all the solutions we evaluated, Fiorano's SOA Platform built on the Fiorano ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) was the only one with a stateless application architecture."

The Brigade Group currently plans to maintain its focus on real estate and hospitality. The immediate internal challenge is to launch and complete 30 million square feet of new projects across seven cities. "In such an environment the last thing we need is for silos of data and the complexities of operation of our ERP system slowing us down," Srikanth said. "With Fiorano we have been able to simplify and extend our usage of SAP and extract ROI from our existing IT assets. We will have a lower long term TCO and a robust and scalable platform to build our business. Faster time to market and better customer satisfaction results in an accelerated ROI. Lastly, we are realizing our vision of using technology to pull ahead of competition in the real-estate business."
