An Implementation Analysis of JMS Servers
Flow Control, Latency, Scalability, and Persist
Executive Summary
This document provides an in-depth technical analysis of FioranoMQ, the leading Java messaging server on the market, and SonicMQ, another popular JMS Server. We compare the flow control, scalability, latency-reduction, and persistence mechanisms used in the two JMS implementations. This paper also reports an important finding of the comparison exercise – the Progress SonicMQ server being rendered useless in important real-world circumstances.
