Launching

When launching the Enterprise Server, the launch sequence within the two servers is not important. Either of the server (primary or backup) can be started first. On start up, the server establish a communication path between each other, in order to exchange information regarding the proper functioning of all servers. The server can be launched by using the runContainer script (available in the fmq/bin directory of the installation package) and through supplying the %SELECTED_HA_PROFILE% as the argument.

For example, when launching the Primary HA Server in Replicated mode, the command line would be:

Verifying

On starting a FioranoMQ Server which is part of an HA Server, the server prints the debugging information about its own state (ACTIVE, PASSIVE, WAITING). The FioranoMQ Server also prints information about the Peer Server's state when it detects a change in the peer's state.

The console displays statements such as those shown below:

Local Server switched to ACTIVE
Or
Local Server switched to PASSIVE
