In the user Home page, the Applications page shows applications that are registered with the Developer Portal.

Application Registration

Click the Register button (see the figure above) in the Applications page to register a new application.

In the Applications page, the developer can provide a logical application ID, name, and a description to the application that implies the nature of the application, and then add the required products by selecting from the ones present below the Register Application section. Available products can be chosen from the API Product ID list. Click the Register button to add the new application to the portal.

The newly registered application appears in the Applications page.

  • The developer can register for a new application and also Unregister an added application from this page by clicking the appropriate button.
  • Click the Edit link to make changes in the application. In the editing screen, click Save to apply the changes.

This application can be seen under Client Subscriptions section in the API Management.

Application Details

An application is created by grouping products based on the functionality required. To view the Application details along with the products (explained in the below section) under the application, click the Application ID name present in the Applications module (see the figure above).

Products

product generally comprises of a group of projects gathered together and made available for the developer. This product is secured with an API Consumer Key when it is subscribed to client(s), that is, when it is encapsulated within an application.

This section in the Developer Portal gives out the Application details comprised of:

  • Application name
  • ID
  • Description
  • Status
  • Details of the Products added:
    • API Product ID
    • Consumer Key
    • Consumer Secret
    • Rate Plan ID
