LOS GATOS, California, June 22, 2010 – Fiorano Software (www.fiorano.com) pioneer in peer-to-peer distributed SOA and integration, today announced that it is has accepted the FX75 mass modification to its General Services Administration (GSA) contract, GS35F0390L relating to ordering activities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, thereby enabling Federal, State or Local Schedule 70 IT ordering activities under ARRA funded projects to occur via their GSA Schedule contract.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed in 2009 by Congress at the urge of President Obama as a response to the economic crisis. The GSA Schedules Program provides a fast, flexible, and cost-effective acquisition solution to meet the goals and objectives of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act): job creation, economic benefits and unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability. Entities applying for government grants under the ARRA are being driven to propose comprehensive integration projects which could provide them with higher return on investment. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) promises a world of flexible and interoperable software components that will increase efficiencies, lower operational costs and improve effectiveness across Agencies. "Although the Recovery Act requires significant reporting and compliance activities, Fiorano has stepped up to its responsibilities as a US corporation to support the economic recovery and contribute to IT requirements of Agencies", said Atul Saini, CEO, Fiorano Software. "Fiorano's easy-to-use, SOA platform built on a scalable ESB architecture can help agencies jump start their projects by streamlining their integration strategy and allowing them to respond to changing requirements quickly and easily." Fiorano is an established GSA contractor under Schedule 70 and has been a trusted supplier to the US Government for over a decade. Fiorano's software has been recently deployed to meet complex SOA infrastructure implementations at the US Coast Guard and demanding high speed messaging requirements at NASA. Fiorano also partners with many Prime Contractors for the Government through teaming and sub-contracting arrangements under the GSA. For more information on the ARRA, please visit www.recovery.gov. |
